Karen Parks has been the perfect teacher and mentor. There is something about her that makes her stand out and you'll recognize it upon the first time meeting her. She is the perfect combination of honest and funny and really takes the time to get to know her students. She is a hard teacher but in the best way possible—she tells you exactly what you need to work on and will help you until you get it. I received results after three lessons when I began with her years ago and have won many competitions because of her guidance. Her repertoire selections are always perfect for the student's voices (she teaches literally any genre you could ask for) and she always ensures each of her students have a plan to have an "edge" when it comes to competition. Her competitive spirit is encouraging and drives students to do better and work harder simply for the joy of what they are doing. Through it all, Karen ensures that all of her students understand the gift they have as a singer and to never take that gift for granted. I strongly encourage anyone to join Karen Park's studio and see for themselves what a difference her guidance will make.
