In a classical, yet heartfelt and unique style, Karen Parks brings to life the spirituals and art songs of the great composer, Harry T. Burleigh, who is best known as the pioneer of negro spirituals. This CD debuted at #2 on the Billboard Classical charts and is a historical anthology of Burleigh’s art songs and classical arrangements of spirituals.
